As we know that latest technology includes many, one of them which is currently being used widely is Android App Development. The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has now made Mobile Application Development part of its syllabus as an open elective in 6th semester.
It has been made compulsory for all colleges, we thought it appropriate to train faculty members of all colleges affiliated under VTU before the syllabus is officially launched.
With this development on training, VTU is planning for one more batch of faculty training program on Android Application Development is planned in this month (Jan 2018). VTU in association with Google India Pvt. Ltd will be conducting five days faculty training program on Android Application Development. Yes, you heard it right. Faculties will be trained by the experts from Google.
I am being a Computer Science & Engineering student, I think this is a great step taken by VTU including these new courses into their syllabus. These are kind of mandatory courses which should be known by students has a basics. If it is not taught as a syllabus, students would have to learn it from other sources. Including it in syllabus has reduced the effort to learn.
As I saw in current world, Android and web application is having a lot of scope, this would definitely help lot of students under VTU in future.
This training is compulsory for teachers who handle the subject. The training will be held from January 21 to 25 in Moodabidri.
This update is regrading VTU Notification NASD/2017-18/029405 .
